Asian Special Report on Early Conversations in Type 2 Diabetes
The experts discussed the impact early conversations between physicians and people with T2D can have on the management of this chronic condition, based on their experience in Asia. In particular, they addressed three central themes:
- Why is it important to talk about T2D?
- What can prevent effective early conversations?
- How can we support early conversations in T2D?
The insights from this meeting have been collated in a special report, a copy of which can be downloaded below.
A video featuring healthcare professionals’ views on early conversations in T2D, filmed at EASD and AASD/IDF-WPR 2014,can be watched below. The Asian roundtable and special report followed the success of the Global special report, which is available for download from the metabolism education hub.
These two reports support the need to further understand the impact of the early conversations in the management of T2D.
